A former
Accountant-General in Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode seems not to be relenting in his
quest to rule Lagos come 2015 despite the uncertainty that is clouding the
political space.
The politician this Wednesday morning of the 30th
of July met with all the Lagos Local Government Councilors at a popular but
hidden hotel that has its location in Ikeja the capital of the center of excellence
.
Some of those who attended
the impromptu meeting informed cityrovers.blogspot.com that the only item that
was discussed was how the councilors will give him the necessary support to
achieve his aim of becoming a governor.
Meanwhile,
the fight for who
becomes the APC flag bearer in Lagos come 2015 is getting fierce by the day as different
players are using everything in their kitty to win the political battle. Though,
it has been echoed by Oba Akiolu that the leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu has endorsed Akin Ambode, but political watchers are of the
opinion that Ambode might not after all emerge as the flag bearer.
Those of
this school of thought believe that the Ekiti loss to PDP may push aside the
idea of imposition and will enable primaries that may see Ambode being defeated
by a stronger candidate.

The party should allow a free and fair primaries instead of trying to impose a candidate on the people. I still strongly believe in the party more than any other. God bless Nigeria, God bless APC
