Congress (APC) in Lagos prepares for its gubernatorial primaries in few days,
it is evident that the governor of Lagos Babatunde Raji Fashola is not relenting
in making sure that his voice becomes the loudest in the selection process of
his successor. The governor who has failed in his bid to fly the kite of hi

For Works, Obafemi Kadiri Hamsat as a suitable successor, has decided to direct
his arsenals in making sure another loyalist of his, 50-year-old Olasupo
Shasore, another Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Attorney General of
Lagos State, takes over from him.

gathered that the working governor has earmarked billions of naira for the
project “Supo must be governor”. Those who saw the wrap around and two other
pages of both Thisday Newspaper and The Punch today wondered where the huge
fund is coming from.
Our dependable source however revealed that the
funds came from the pocket of the governor. We were even told that the governor
has been doling out money to the party leaders in the state to support the
Shasore dream.
With the looks of things to come, the race for the next governor
of Lagos State will not be an easy one if one has to take into consideration
the barrage of messaging and campaigning coming from the several declared
candidates seeking to occupy the hot seat in Alausa, as they try to sell
themselves to the public and distinguish themselves from the other candidates
in the race. Although, it was Senator Ganiu Solomon that started well with his
sensitization before others lately joined after they realize there would be
primaries.

Shasore is a lawyer, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria , a scholar, a historian, a
well documented writer, a voracious reader, a seasoned administrator and an
avid sportsman who was pushed into the ring by Governor Fashola.
