Ex Osun Governor, Oyinlola Goes Back To School…Plans To Become A Pastor

As much as man liveth, the need to learn from cradle to grave becomes imperative at every slight opportunity available. This could be said of former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola who on Saturday took matriculation oath as a post graduate student at the National Open University, Osogbo Campus. Oyinlola enrolled at the university Post Graduate Diploma in Theology.

Oyinlola, who is also the former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, while speaking with journalists said he decided to study Theology in order to know God more and added that he could become a preacher of the gospel.

The retired military Brigadier-General lamented inadequate funding of the education sector in the country and advised the Federal Government to invest more in the sector for the development of the nation.

“The Federal Government should invest more in the education sector. It is a critical sector which must be given attention for any nation to develop. Nigeria will be greater if we invest more in the education sector and Nigerian universities will rank among the best in the world with the proper funding of the sector”, Oyinlola asserted.
