Kwankwaso Takes Swipe At Fayose...Says The Ekiti State Gov. Is A Disgrace To Yoruba

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso today labeled controversial Governor of Ekiti as an utter disgrace to the respected culture of the Yoruba people. The Governor, said this while attending to questions raised by reporters in Lagos this afternoon about the statement credited to Ayodele Fayose that he (Kwankwaso), Atiku and some other Northern leaders in APC are technically leaving the party back to PDP.

Alh. Musa Kwankwaso expressed his concern for the Yoruba people particularly Ekiti State who according to him, are vastly educated, respected and honourable people in the world.

“Anytime I listen to this young man (Fayose) from Ekiti State, I feel embarrassed as a Governor and I feel bad for the Yoruba people”, Kwankwaso stated.

They have the likes Prof Wole Soyinka, Lateef Jakande, Olusegun Obasanjo, M.K.O Abiola, , Bola Ige, Obafemi Awolowo, Prof Osofisan and the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. These people will never in any way denigrate the culture of the Yorubas the way Gov Fayose is doing. I don’t really know what has gone wrong him. When I was Governor between 1999 to 2003, I had met and speak with him before on salient issues. But, when I listen to him these days I feel terribly bad and ashamed for the people of Ekiti”.

In all sincerity these are trying times for the people Ekiti. I stand to respect them more for enduring Fayose this much, because Gov Fayose is a disgraced to many of us as colleagues. I would have recommends “Dawanau” for him if he were to be from Kano State. He really needs a test”, Kwankwaso opined.
