A Cairo court this morning sentenced the first democratically elected president in the history of Egypt, MOHAMED MORSI and 12 other defendants to 20 years in prison. He was charged with inciting the killing of protesters, in connection to the deaths of 12 people outside the presidential place in December, 2012.
Meanwhile, the former military dictator, HOSNI MUBARAK was acquitted by
the same court for similar charges that could
have seen him face death penalty.
