Fmr Prez. Obasanjo Bereaved...Loses Younger Sister Adunni @76

The household of Nigerian former President, Olusegun Obasanjo was thrown into a mourning mood earlier when death was announced of his younger sister, Adunni Oluniola Eweje-Obasanjo who died after brief illness.

Adunni gave up the ghost at a private hospital in Ota, Ogun State aged 76.

Depressed Obasanjo broke the news of the death when he hosted women leaders from the South-west at his residence in Abeokuta on Sunday. He said the visit would have been cancelled after he heard of his sister’s death, but for the fact that it had been scheduled.

Several well wishers also visited the former President on Sunday to condole with him.

A daughter of the deceased, Titi, who addressed journalists, said burial arrangements would be announced later.
