GOVERNOR of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, in his
unusual way took his 56th birthday
celebration to the market centres where he feted people on the streets.
Fayose who clocked 56 years distributed cake and cash to
market women and other onlookers at the popular Bisi Market in Ado Ekiti
capital city and other locations in the state capital.
Fayose’s reason for the act we gathered was to
demonstrate his love for the people of the state, who voted for him massively
to become the governor during the June 21, 2014 governorship poll. Moreover,
the market people are those who
ordinarily would not have had the opportunity to come to the government house
to celebrate with the governor.
Governor Fayose said he is equally sending message to the
people in high places is that they should not abandon those who voted for them.
They should respect them, court them and give them the attention they deserved.
