Following the recent allegation fuelled by the Reggae
Icon, Majekodunmi Fasheke popularly known as Majek Fashek that former west African idol winner, Timi Dakolo ‘stole’ his all-time hit, “Send Down The Rain”
which the soul singer sampled in one of his songs, the episode is taking another dimension as Timi has made
it known that he is fully ready for the rain maker in court.
Timi, who claimed his former management, Now Muzik has
previously paid the agreed sum of N500,000 to the “Send down the rain”
crooner’s management ,November Records owned by ace film maker/producer,
Charles Novia before remaking the song, Dakolo, in his view believes that Majek
does not have any logical reason to seek justice at the law court after the
proper protocol to avoid copyright infringement has been complied.
Speaking today with CityRovers on the issue, Timi simply said Majek should stop the paper war
and meet him in court.
News previously has it that Timi Dakolo was slammed with
N100 million lawsuits by Majek Fashek’s management for copyright infringement.
