Meet Dr. Kunle Olasope, The Man Who Discovered John Momoh Channels TV Boss

Today, Channels Television has become unarguably the number one TV station in the country today, with many laurels and awards to show for the good works it is doing especially in the areas of News. The amn behind the success of the brand, John Momoh is well respected both by the public and private individuals. But, many have not taken time to know how he came into the business of journalism aside seeing his face on NTA News many years ago.


The success story of John Mommoh will never be complete without a mention of  Dr Kunle Olasope who discovered him. OLasope, a veteran broadcaster who is 80years old, is arguably the first face to have appeared on television screen in Africa. 
John Momoh captured the attention of a scout (Olasope) who was desperate for young, motivated and charming school leavers to pick up a career in broadcasting 
 Dr Kunle Olasope spotted John Momoh when he was attending a school owned by the two twin brothers in Abeokuta in the 80s. He then brought him to Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, where he started horning his broadcasting skills.

Dr. Olasope also discovered great journalism heroes like Professor Akin Oyebode, Ayinde Soaga, Yomi Alalade, Akin Onabolu and others
