Debts are
definitely fun when acquiring them, but none is fun when you want to pay back. This assertion captures the news flying
around top socialite, Laide Fowosere at
the moment concerning a facility he took from one of these new generation
banks.
The Ijebu
born moneybag who sits atop Nucleus Ventures, we gathered is swimming in a huge
debt mess and his bankers are not taking it lightly with him.
Those who
informed cityrovers.blogspot.com told us that penultimate week, the Fatai Atere
Road (Matori ) Mushin, Lagos office of the socialite was visited by security
agents and his bankers; and at the end of the unsolicited visit, his office was
locked up.
When Fowosere who enjoys many fuji artistes’
patronage saw the imminent embarrassment from the action of the bank, he quickly
met with them to sort things out and pronto,
the gate was freed again .
Laide is
believed to be very wealthy and many wonder why he had to default in servicing
the facility he took from the bank.
As at the
moment we are not sure what he bargained with the bank; if the bank will still
carry out the threat of locking up his place of work or he’ll settle his debt
soon.
Meanwhile,
it may not be known to many that Laide Fowosere used to work for former
minister Jubril Martins Kuye before he
made so much money. Some of those who worked with him said, it was a certain
deal he got involved in that saw him climbing the success ladder, while some
others painted a picture of a man that thoroughly worked his way to the apex of
his business life.
No matter
how any one sees it, Laide has become a strong figure in the paper business and
his name is second to none as at today.
However, what
many are frowning at is that Laide Fowosere shouldn’t have bought over the boss,
JMK’s property when he was down. JMK nurtured
Laide through his Pyramid Paper Company from nothing to something and when
success smiled on Fowosere and JMK was down, he shouldn’t have bought over all
his boss’ businesses at the Matori, Mushin area of Lagos, so say the public.
JMK was said
to have suffered a huge financial loss before OBJ rescued him through the appointment
he handed to him, we were told. A reliable source told us that,
Martins-Kuye who could not withstand his dwindling fortune has put to sale, his
paper mills company located in Fatai Atere Street, Oshodi, Lagos State to his
former Kwara State branch Manager, Laide Fowosere at the tune of N1.3billion.
In fact, we gathered that, the first payment of N900million deposit has been
paid into his First Bank account.
However,
those who sympathized with the former Senator attributed his woes to his
involvement in politics and his generosity to the people.
