Gov. Fashola Earmarks NBillions For His Friend Supo Shasore To Be Lagos Governor

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos prepares for its gubernatorial primaries in few days, it is evident that the governor of Lagos Babatunde Raji Fashola is not relenting in making sure that his voice becomes the loudest in the selection process of his successor. The governor who has failed in his bid to fly the kite of hi
s Commissioner For Works, Obafemi Kadiri Hamsat as a suitable successor, has decided to direct his arsenals in making sure another loyalist of his, 50-year-old Olasupo Shasore, another Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Attorney General of Lagos  State, takes over from him.
Though, this looks more like a tall dream considering the fact that the Lion of Boudilon, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has settled for the candidacy of Akinwunmi Ambode. But despite this, Governor Fashola who has been involved in a cold war with his god father Tinubu feels he will succeed in this new battle; or how else can we sum up his drive both financially and morally in the support of his preferred.

Cityrovers.blogspot.com gathered that the working governor has earmarked billions of naira for the project “Supo must be governor”. Those who saw the wrap around and two other pages of both Thisday Newspaper and The Punch today wondered where the huge fund is coming from.
Our dependable source however revealed that the funds came from the pocket of the governor. We were even told that the governor has been doling out money to the party leaders in the state to support the Shasore dream.
With the looks of things to come, the race for the next governor of Lagos State will not be an easy one if one has to take into consideration the barrage of messaging and campaigning coming from the several declared candidates seeking to occupy the hot seat in Alausa, as they try to sell themselves to the public and distinguish themselves from the other candidates in the race. Although, it was Senator Ganiu Solomon that started well with his sensitization before others lately joined after they realize there would be primaries.

Olasupo Shasore is a lawyer, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria , a scholar, a historian, a well documented writer, a voracious reader, a seasoned administrator and an avid sportsman who was pushed into the ring by Governor Fashola.
