Barely nine days to the 2015 General Election in
Nigeria, politicians and their cohorts have continued to adopt different
gimmicks to ensure success during the elections. According to the latest news
coming from Rivers State, the state’s Chapter of the All Progressives Congress,
APC has alleged that efforts are being made by President Goodluck Jonathan to
use a top official of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC and the
Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) to rig the forthcoming general elections
in the State.
In a press statement issued Wednesday in Port
Harcourt, the party alleged that NDDC Executive Director, Finance and
Administration, Dr. Henry Ogiri, has been directed by President Jonathan to
work closely with Rivers REC, Mrs. Gesila Khan, to ensure that Jonathan wins on
March 28 while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Chief
Nyesom Wike, wins on April 11.
