Fayose Congratulates Buhari...Says Nigerians Decided

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has urged Nigerians to accept the outcome of Saturday’s presidential election in good faith, saying; “the election result is the will of God and Nigerians, and all lovers of peace, progress and development of Nigeria must accept it”.

Mr. Fayose, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, hailed the resilience and commitment of President Goodluck Jonathan and Mohammadu Buhari.
The governor said the election results should not been seen as victory or loss for any political party, adding that, “To me, Nigerians and democracy won.”

'I Am Innocent' - MC Oluomo Exonerates Self From Oshodi Violence



National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) boss, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo has condemned the unruly act of thugs at Oshodi this morning. Below is the speech he made shortly after the incident.


His words: Good morning my fellow Lagosians, I find it very imperative and urgent to quickly send this message to update you about the cruel, gangsterism, uncivil and very absurd conduct of the PDP Thugs in Oshodi this morning. We woke up to find this desperate hoodlums shooting,looting and vandalising people's property, led by Essy Oluwo and co. I just sincerely want to bring this to the consciousness of the populace that this hoodlum would do anything to bring both my name and that of our great party APC into mud. I want to state that nobody has monopoly of violence, but my love for my people and that of Oshodi is uppermost in my mind. I have instructed my followers and good people of Oshodi to be calm, since the Nigerian police have come in to calm the situation.

Court Fails To Stop Buhari’s Presidential Bid...Postpones Hearing Till April 22

A legal plot to stop the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress from contesting the 28 March election collapsed in Abuja today as Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, postponed further hearing of the case challenging Buhari’s eligibility till 22 April, thanks to Buhari’s powerful and competent team of lawyers.

What would happen if a governorship aspirant could not get the Permanent Voters' Card? That sound rhetorical right? Anyway, after much ado, the Governorship aspirant in Kaduna State under the All Progressive Party, APC, Mallam Nasir Elrufai has called on eligible voters in the state to utilize Saturday and Sunday to collect their PVC. The former FCT minister tweeted today saying he has just collected his.

How NDDC Director Bribed REC With $100m, Jeep To Secure Victory For Jonathan, Wike



Barely nine days to the 2015 General Election in Nigeria, politicians and their cohorts have continued to adopt different gimmicks to ensure success during the elections. According to the latest news coming from Rivers State, the state’s Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has alleged that efforts are being made by President Goodluck Jonathan to use a top official of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC and the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) to rig the forthcoming general elections in the State.

In a press statement issued Wednesday in Port Harcourt, the party alleged that NDDC Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Dr. Henry Ogiri, has been directed by President Jonathan to work closely with Rivers REC, Mrs. Gesila Khan, to ensure that Jonathan wins on March 28 while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Chief Nyesom Wike, wins on April 11.

Buhari Disrupted Yoruba Peoples' Peace in 1984...Fayose Tackles Buhari Again



Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has opened another can of worm on the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (Rtd) prior to the March 28, presidential election, asking him to seek forgiveness in-lieu of votes from Yoruba people of the South-West, including Edo and Delta States.

According to the governor, Buhari’s cancellation of the Lagos Metroline project in 1985 was the greatest disservice to the Yoruba people in particular, and Nigerians in general. “If Buhari had not cancelled the Metroline project out of vendetta,transportation problems in Lagos would have been solved permanently.The Metroline project would have made life easier and changed the face of transport in Lagos. But Buhari cancelled it and even went ahead to pay compensation to the French company that handled it. Buhari’s action cost Lagosians over $78 million then,” Fayose said.

We Left PDP To Save Nigeria - Reps. Speaker Tambuwal Revealed


No doubt, the incessant defection of members of People’s Democratic Party, PDP has now become a possibility on a daily basis in Nigeria. Apparently, the most shocking defector to the opposition party, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has explained why he and his colleagues decided to dump the PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC. Tambuwal explained that they would have remained in PDP and become richer but decided to leave the party in order to save Nigeria.

According to the Speaker, since 1999, the PDP had proven to be incapable of governing the country in an effective manner, adding that for Nigerians to regain their dignity and self-worth, they must join hands to vote out the party from power. “Many patriotic Nigerians who felt the need to change the course of our country have protested the inept administrative style visited on this country. 

They made their voices known by abandoning the PDP and teaming up with progressive-minded Nigerians. “Remaining in the PDP would have been the easy option for us. We would have been richer and would have been enjoying the benefits of being in the same political camp with the Federal Government. But we chose a different option because we felt enough is enough.

Breaking! Court Stops AIT From Airing Lion of Bourdillion Documentary

An Ikeja High court today has barred the Africa Independent Television (AIT) from airing the “Lion of Bourdillion’ documentary on former lagos governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, PM News gathered.

The national leader of All Progressives Congress dragged the broadcast outfit to court for peddling false accusations about his personality.

Jonathan Lambasts APC...Calls Opposition Ingrate



President Goodluck Jonathan has boasted that the emergence of the All Progressives Congress, APC was as a result of the deliberate policy of his administration to entrench democracy in the country, hence called on the opposition to be grateful to him.

This Day report that Jonathan spoke at a roundtable conference in Abuja tagged: ‘The Other Side of Goodluck Jonathan’s Administration’, through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.

According to Jonathan, his deliberate policy of promoting freedom of association made it possible for those in the opposition to merge in order to contest against the ruling party adding that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has never been afraid of the APC, and enjoys its attacks and criticism because the opposition party remains its creation.

Ex Osun Governor, Oyinlola Goes Back To School…Plans To Become A Pastor



As much as man liveth, the need to learn from cradle to grave becomes imperative at every slight opportunity available. This could be said of former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola who on Saturday took matriculation oath as a post graduate student at the National Open University, Osogbo Campus. Oyinlola enrolled at the university Post Graduate Diploma in Theology.

Oyinlola, who is also the former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, while speaking with journalists said he decided to study Theology in order to know God more and added that he could become a preacher of the gospel.
