Former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, in his congratulatory message to new Nigerian President elect, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, says the victory of the retired general is synonymous to the victory of the 16th President of the United States, Abrahan Lincoln. He said Goodluck Jonathan lost the presidential election to Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, because Jonathan failed to meet the yearnings and aspiration of Nigeria’s citizens.

How NDDC Director Bribed REC With $100m, Jeep To Secure Victory For Jonathan, Wike



Barely nine days to the 2015 General Election in Nigeria, politicians and their cohorts have continued to adopt different gimmicks to ensure success during the elections. According to the latest news coming from Rivers State, the state’s Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has alleged that efforts are being made by President Goodluck Jonathan to use a top official of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC and the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) to rig the forthcoming general elections in the State.

In a press statement issued Wednesday in Port Harcourt, the party alleged that NDDC Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Dr. Henry Ogiri, has been directed by President Jonathan to work closely with Rivers REC, Mrs. Gesila Khan, to ensure that Jonathan wins on March 28 while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Chief Nyesom Wike, wins on April 11.

Jonathan Lambasts APC...Calls Opposition Ingrate



President Goodluck Jonathan has boasted that the emergence of the All Progressives Congress, APC was as a result of the deliberate policy of his administration to entrench democracy in the country, hence called on the opposition to be grateful to him.

This Day report that Jonathan spoke at a roundtable conference in Abuja tagged: ‘The Other Side of Goodluck Jonathan’s Administration’, through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.

According to Jonathan, his deliberate policy of promoting freedom of association made it possible for those in the opposition to merge in order to contest against the ruling party adding that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has never been afraid of the APC, and enjoys its attacks and criticism because the opposition party remains its creation.

Presidency Letter In Circulation Is Not Genuine - EFCC



It initially started like another tale by moonlight designed to set a new agenda and it most definitely achieved its purpose as the letter diffused into serious public discourse causing confusion within the presidency and opposition’s camp.

But, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has notified the public to disregard the letter which surfaced online yesterday suggesting that President Jonathan had ordered the agency to probe the financial operations of APC leaders, saying it is fake.


Reuben Abati Calls Gov. Fashola Irresponsible Over Lekki Robbery Statement



In a swift response to the allegation made by Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola on Thursday March 12th that the daylight robbery incident which occurred around Lekki axis of the state was as a result of drafting of all police formation in the state to protect President Goodluck Jonathan who was in the state on the faithful day, Presidential Media aide, Reuben Abati described the statement as totally irresponsible.

Reuben Abati said this while speaking to state house correspondents in Abuja.
